Beautiful barn wedding, The Ashes Barns, Staffordshire.

I remember Abby and Jamie’s first message about their day and what they were after and I am so so glad they booked. Not only for their beautiful venue but because I instantly had a feeling we’d get on. They explained they wanted a relaxed day with close family and friends and that’s exactly what their day was. Their beautiful ceremony was in the stunning West Barn followed by their drinks reception, a few group photos and then sneaking off to make the most of the grounds with the prettiest light.

Abby & Jamie spoke about how they didn’t want to do the traditional long speeches, first dance or cake cutting and I’m all for you making your day about what you want and who said you have to do the traditional things? Instead the evening started with the most amazing dessert selection I have ever seen and tasted (thanks Jamie for making me take some home, I enjoyed them with a brew while uploading and backing up your photos!). As soon as the music started the kids took straight to the dance floor and it wasn’t empty after that! A beautiful day for a beautiful couple.
